Firefly no Miko
A/N: Challenge was to write a Firefly/FY crossover. This was a hilarious idea. Keep in mind, however, that I have never written Firefly except for one short Simon/Kaylee drabble, so I’m not holding myself responsible for OOCness.
Inara cleared her throat and calmly turned to look at the crew of the Serenity. “This is very flattering,” she said, rather seriously. “They seem to think that I’m a holy priestess who’s come to summon a god for them.”
“Well, of course,” Malcolm Reynolds said in response. “What else would they think?”
“Some people juggle geese,” Wash pointed out.
“Anything else we should know?” Mal asked.
Inara cleared her throat again. “You – that is, all of you – are the warriors destined to protect me.”
“Even me?” Kaylee asked, clearly excited about this prospect.
“It would seem so,” Inara said, with a note of humor in her voice.
“They gonna be payin’ us for this?” Jayne asked.
“I somehow doubt it, Jayne.”
